Healthy Bones Mission

Organized in collaboration with District Bar Association, Nagpur

In a continuing effort to promote preventive healthcare among the legal fraternity, city-based NGO CHHOO LE AASMAN, in association with the District Bar Association (DBA), successfully organized a Bone Density Screening Camp at the District Court premises in Nagpur. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about bone health and detect early signs of bone-related issues such as osteoporosis.

The camp was led by renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Satyajeet Jagtap, who conducted bone density tests and also addressed attendees in an informative awareness session on bone health.
Dr. Jagtap explained the three stages of bone quality:

1. Normal Bone Density 2. Osteopenia 3. Osteoporosis

Diet and Lifestyle Guidance

Adding to the health insights, Chief Dietician and Diabetes Educator Ms. Seemsa Chalkhore shared expert advice on maintaining a balanced and bone-friendly diet, along with the importance of diabetes control in preventing complications related to bone health.

Her talk focused on:

Nutritional sources of calcium and Vitamin D
The link between diet, hormones, and bone density
Role of hydration, meal planning, and portion control

Participation and Impact

The event was inaugurated and supported by key figures from the legal community, including Adv. Roshan Bagde, President, District Bar Association, Adv. Usha Gujar, Vice President, DBA

A large number of judges and advocates availed themselves of the services provided during the camp. The enthusiasm and response from the legal fraternity reflected a growing awareness of personal well-being even in high-pressure professions.

CHHOO LE AASMAN President Ms. Chitra Parate, Vice President Ms. Aditi Shrivastava, and active members Ms. Alpana Verma, Ms. Shamala Mhaske, and Ms. Priya Agrawal closely monitored the camp’s arrangements and ensured that each participant received proper attention and guidance.

This medical camp was yet another successful effort by CHHOO LE AASMAN and DBA to bridge the gap between awareness and action in preventive health care.
