A City-Wide Drawing Competition That Touched 1500 Young Hearts

With this heartfelt objective, Choole Aasman NGO organized a city-wide Inter-School Drawing and Painting Competition aimed at creating self-awareness, emotional expression, and social understanding among children. Drawing is one such powerful medium—accessible to all, rich or poor—that gives every child the freedom to bring their thoughts to life through lines, colors, and imagination.
We selected competition themes that reflected pressing social issues, encouraging children to think, feel, and express responsibly. As one child painted, another reflected, and together, over 1500 young voices across Nagpur began speaking through their art.

The competition unfolded in two impactful rounds, with shortlisted participants receiving on-the-spot topics to test not only their artistic skills but also their ability to connect with real-world themes meaningfully.
Renowned judges from across the city came forward to support and evaluate the entries. Their feedback was humbling—surprised by the depth, emotion, and maturity reflected in the students’ work. These young artists didn’t just draw pictures; they voiced concern, empathy, and hope through every stroke.
Prize Distribution Ceremony
The grand culmination of this heartfelt initiative took place on 26th January 2020 at Saraswati Vidyalaya, where winners were honored and celebrated for their exceptional work:
